Advent
This year for Christmas my husband and I are making a concerted effort to stay focused on what really matters. Ever since I read the chapter on Advent in "Bittersweet" by Shauna Niequist, I've been looking forward to it this year.
Longing, grasping, waiting for the King.
So in honor of the importance of our longing, and to remind us of why we celebrate this season, I made our home an Advent Calendar. Displayed for all who enter, with a scripture for every day of December until Christmas (running late, as usual!) telling the story of Christ, day by day.
I hung mine in little muslin bags I stamped, but you can just put them in envelopes or even just display them as they are. The options are endless.
I hope you enjoy this timeless treasure. Take a moment to dwell on the beauty of our savior's birth and the weight of his life.
If you have A2 cards (4.25" x 5.5") perhaps from Paper Source or otherwise, you can download this file.
If you're printing onto letter paper and you're going to cut your cards down, these are pre-made with a template for cutting, and laid out for letter sized paper.
I hope your holidays are merry and bright!
